On November 5th, 2025, Zarika Association and Sustainable for the Future Foundation took part together in the AUBG Civil Society Forum, hosted at the American University in Bulgaria. This year’s edition brought together 23 dynamic organisations, all committed to advancing positive change in their communities — and we were thrilled to be among them.

The forum opened with a warm welcome from Sabina A. Wien, Dean of Students, followed by an inspiring keynote speech by Ashod Derandonyan, Strategist at Deaf.BG and Fulbright Graduate Scholar at Gallaudet University. His words set the tone for an afternoon filled with meaningful conversations about social impact, inclusion, and the power of collective action.
For us, one of the most energising highlights was the enthusiasm of young people and students eager to get involved — whether through volunteering, internships, or Erasmus+ projects. It was inspiring to see so many future changemakers interested in gaining real-life experience while supporting causes that matter.

Throughout the day, we connected with fellow organisations, shared insights about our ongoing projects, and discussed strategies for growth, sustainability, and youth engagement. These exchanges reminded us of the strength that comes from collaboration and the shared vision that unites us across different missions.

We leave the forum feeling motivated, recharged, and grateful — ready to continue building opportunities for learning, civic engagement, and social transformation.
A big thank you to AUBG for creating this space where ideas, partnerships, and purpose come together!
And last but not least, special thanks go to our amazing team on site, Jessica Summers and Mariana Ivanova!
