In the first days of October, the Bansko Tourist Information Center became a meeting place for poetry, color, and inner worlds. Our Zarika member and creative changemaker — Mariana Ivanova (Mey Chudea) — presented her first solo exhibition, “Beyond Words…”, gathering message-filled paintings inspired by the Akashic records and her own creative journey.

Art born from words and feeling

Mey Chudea discovered the power of the written word seven years ago, when she began writing in rhyme. Soon after, another layer emerged in her work — the ability to craft personal messages that touch on deep inner themes and universal human truths. Today, her paintings blend visual imagery with poetic fragments, becoming symbolic keys to different states of the soul.

The opening — an evening of presence and shared experience

The official opening took place on October 3 at 5:00 p.m., as part of the celebrations surrounding Bansko Day. The event began with a poetic walk among the artworks, during which Mariana presented messages created over the past two years — a time in which the town and its people have become both her inspiration and her home.

The atmosphere was enriched by Kristina from Ether , who filled the space with gentle vibrations from Tibetan bowls and a gong. The décor, crafted by Viktoria Alexandrova, combined light and flowers in a way that highlighted the softness and spiritual presence of the paintings.

A message for everyone

One of the most touching moments of the evening was Mariana’s gesture toward the audience — a personal message given to each guest. The beautifully designed cards and heartfelt words were a reminder that art can reach us individually, opening space for reflection and reconnecting us to authentic human connection.

An exhibition not only to be seen, but to be felt

“Beyond Words…” is an invitation to an inner journey — toward truths we carry within but sometimes forget to hear. Mey Chudea’s message-paintings form a bridge between the visible and the invisible, between personal experience and universal human seeking.

The exhibition was open to visitors until October 15, yet the feeling it created will undoubtedly continue to live on — beyond time and beyond words.
