Wildfires and other natural disasters are becoming more frequent and intense. This summer is no different than the last few in Europe – from horrible fires to devastating floods. That’s why we are pleased to present testimonials from the EmerGenZ project. EmerGenZ was a youth exchange designed to equip young people with essential skills in emergency response through hands-on activities, teamwork, and outdoor simulations.

While participants are preparing their follow-up actions in their communities, we decided to share a testimonial by Beloslava Genova, the group leader of the Bulgarian group at the youth exchange. Here’s what Beloslava said:

What impressed you?

I was impressed by the first aid workshop that we did, the firefighter presentation and by the great food. I also liked the Climate game.

What did you learn?

I learned some new things about first aid, fire prevention, and other countries.

What inspirations are you taking away?

I’m definitely going to use the Climate Fresque game when I try to talk about environmental issues to younger people.
